Digital technologies and related art forms have experienced a rapid development during the past decades. Vladimir Martynov plunged into these new facilities more than 20 years ago, but at the same time retained his artistic identity. In different periods of his personal development, he came into contact with the basics of Chinese philosophy, from a young age he was interested in the art and literature of Japan and other Eastern countries, have read all the books by Carlos Castaneda published in Russia. Therefore, in his understanding, spirituality is not something formulated and orthodox once. Rather, it is a symbiosis of different spiritual visual practices implemented by means of abstract art and modern digital technologies.

A thoughtful viewer will see in his works a reference to the style of ancient Russian iconography, but also to the art of ancient Greece or Egypt, or to different cultural traditions of North and South America. Art is unique because in the most difficult periods of history, its best examples are preserved by people and live for a long time, enriching the next generations.
