Enzo Rosamilia

Enzo Rosamilia is an Italian photographer and artist. He received his education at the Naples Academy of Fine Arts (L'Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli). Since the late 1970s, he has been engaged in fine art photography, and since the early 1980s, he has taught at the Sabatini-Menna Art School (Liceo Artistico Sabatini-Menna) in Salerno. He has been involved in photography for over 50 years and is a member of the Expert Council of the Eurasian Art Union.
Rosamilia works in the photography genre, exclusively using a film camera and natural lighting. His works incorporate montage, and each piece is unique, created as a single copy. The prints are produced in a lab in Italy on high-quality canvas or special handmade paper, which has been produced in the town of Amalfi (Salerno Province, Italy) since medieval times. The artist has invented a special emulsion that allows him to fix photographic images on this textured paper, which was previously used only by painters and was highly valued for its unique properties. The technique is the artist’s own, and the formula of the emulsion is kept secret.
